Chicago Wholesale Hardware was an exhibition of original works on found objects discovered from the inside of a Chicago hardware store that had been in operation since the 1960's. The entire hardware store was set to be demolished in less than a month of when we started working. This gave us total space and control of our surroundings but very limited time.
First thing that was done was coming up with a concept to paint on the outside of the building. Developing and assisting on Don't Fret ideas we painted a mural of an old fashioned market / store front setting. We reflected on the history of the neighborhood and the people it encompassed to create these design concepts.
We dug through the old hardware store to select particular found objects that best suite our concept for Don't Fret to Paint on and add to installations. I was in charge of selecting found frames for works on paper that fit our aesthetic.

We teamed up with SOHO House Chicago to have the opening of the exhibition be a featured event sponsored by their new Chicago House. This partnership lead us to create a live painting for their guests on the roof of SOHO for the opening of their Chicago chapter.

We installed a street art campaign across the city with a Don't Fret Image and attached copy text that said "There is Only Two Seasons In Chicago, Winter & Constructions." This campaign was also heavily used and re-posted on social media create awarness for the exhibition.

This is a preview video shot for a Don't Fret exhibition titled " What Do You Really Want?"
I was responsible for assisting in the creative design and curation of a mock dive bar installation in the exhibition. The idea we produced was to create a dive bar that over dramatically reflected on the working class, neighborhood people, and general Chicagoan attitude. The installation was named "The Casual Bar," to poke at how there seems to always be something so interesting about the normal everyday classic people that fill Chicago.

This exhibition was my first project with Don't Fret.
I worked with Don't Fret to assist in the creation of creative concepts & design ideas for street and gallery installations.
I was hired by Chicago restaurant called Antique Taco to commission an artist to paint a mural on their outside patio wall.
I presented the client with Don't Frets previous work and they were eager to work with him. I organized a meeting where myself and the client could give Don't Fret a creative brief and budget for the commissioned wall.
I not only commissioned the wall but worked my usual positions with Don't Fret assisting on the entire project.

The content I created on social media went viral on multiple platforms as we previewed the progression of the wall. On Snapchat we were featured on the Chicago story gaining 82,000views. On Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram photos were being posted daily of the the bright new wall.
